The Windows of Perception Processing Technique

The ‘Windows of Perception Processing Technique’ is an effective technique, formulated to effect change in a positive way, that ensures the individual utilising it is able to filter any negative thought, belief or feeling they hold and question its substance, ascertaining whether real or imagined, as well as determining the causal roots through it’s analysing process.

This technique is also designed to help individuals process any and all incoming information in an internal and positive way, by interpreting events and experiences as such and in a focused and deliberate way, and this process strengthens connections and creates new neural pathways, as defined by the latest neuroplasticity research and findings.

The ‘Windows of Perception Processing Technique’ makes this achievable by meeting the ten core principles demanded by our brain to rewire our neural pathways and create a shift in any and every negative thought, emotion, perspective, belief and behaviour.

Repetition of this exercise over time will help you rewire any established unhelpful neural pathways, create new ones and create more benevolent automatic response modes.

The Following Steps are Required to Effectively Execute This Technique:

  • Choose either a limiting belief, or an event or experience that you seem affected by.
  • Determine which window you have/had chosen to bring this event/experience/fact through, into your world, by how you feel toward it, whether positive and internal or negative and external.
  • Begin by detecting/recognising related emotions and feelings.
  • Locate the feelings in the body and note the intensity.
  • Look for and determine the perceived cause (your initial blame placement).
  • Now, identify the factual cause (without any judgemental or biased thinking).
  • Identify how you had interpreted the event/experience/fact.
  • Recognise the direct correlation between your interpretation of the event/experience/fact, and your created/resulting feelings and emotions.
  • Now, strip the factual fact clean of all previous interpretations and push it back out of your negative and internal window and into the universal world.
  • Next, it’s time for a physical reset by changing seats, standing up with arms high up in the air, shaking your body, clapping hands or whatever it takes to shift your body into motion, active and engaged.
  • Running through the above mentally, summarise by recognising that your interpretation of an event/experience/fact has led to consequent feelings and emotions, and by choosing to switch windows and interpreting the same event/experience/fact in an internal and positive way, you are deciding to change your feelings and emotions about it.
  • With your ‘external and negative window’ tightly shut now and your ‘internal and positive window’ wide open, begin to look at the same factual fact as determined.
  • In the first stage we look for any positives in that event/experience/fact.
  • Try to find as many positives as you can, no matter how hard it may seem and the more effort required here, the more effective the results, as it is proof that you are rewiring and creating new neural pathways.
  • Having found your list of positives, recognise new related emotions and feelings.
  • Locate the feelings in the body and note the intensity.
  • Identify the factual cause for your new feelings and emotions.
  • Recognise the direct correlation between your new interpretation of the event/experience/fact, and your newly created/resulting feelings and emotions.
  • Now begin to process the same event/experience/fact in an internal way by asking yourself what you can do about this event/experience/fact.
  • Try to find as many things as you can do, as once again, no matter how hard it may seem and the more effort required here, the more effective the results, as it is proof that you are rewiring and creating new neural pathways.
  • Having found your list of things that you can do, recognise your new related emotions and feelings.
  • Locate the feelings in the body and note the intensity.
  • Identify the factual cause for your new feelings and emotions.
  • Recognise the direct correlation between your new ‘internal’ processing of the event/experience/fact, and your newly created/resulting feelings and emotions.
  • Finally, take a little time to process what you just did, and ask yourself what you learned about yourself, through this exercise.
