The Training

Overview and Purpose-

Self-esteem, specifically with regards to: the effects of, definitions of, characteristics of and factors influencing self-esteem; self-esteem and psychology: self-concept, self-image, self-confidence, self-worth, self-efficacy and self-compassion; esteem in Maslow’s theory; self-esteem in positive psychology; measuring self-esteem; self-esteem and SES; and limitations

Locus of control, specifically with regards to: what locus of control is; internal vs external locus of control; core self-evaluations; history of locus of control; personality orientation; applications: health psychology, organisational psychology and religion, consumer research and other areas of application; familial origins; age; gender-based differences; cross cultural and regional issues; self-efficacy; stress and locus of control measuring scales

Neuroplasticity, specifically with regards to: what neuroplasticity is; examples of neuroplasticity; observations and causes of neuroplasticity; neuroplasticity in: phantom limbs and ‘positive/negative plasticity’; applications: traumatic brain injury research, treating brain damage, chronic pain, phantom limbs, vision, sensory prostheses, human echolocation, children, animals, brain training, ADHD stimulants, meditation and fitness and exercise; and the ten fundamentals of neuroplasticity

‘Windows of Perception’, specifically with regards to: optimism; positive attitude/outlook; negative attitude/outlook; positive psychology: history and definitions, benefits of positive psychology, studies and research, and theory and concepts; criticisms on the movement in perspective; our theory; Windows of Perception; external and negative window; internal and positive window; the ‘Windows of Perception Processing Technique’; and review of further literature and methodology for future research

Windows of Perception Processing Technique execution (practical): to become proficient, confident and enthusiastic in the execution of the Windows of Perception Processing technique for any given issue

Emotional intelligence, specifically: history of emotional intelligence; definitions of emotional intelligence; the ability model and measurement; the mixed model and measurement; the trait model and measurement; general effects; criticisms of theoretical foundation; criticisms of measurement; interactions with other phenomena and utilisation

Effective parenting, specifically with regards to: definitions of parenting; factors that affect decisions; styles: authoritative parenting, authoritarian parenting styles, permissive parenting and uninvolved parenting; practices; skills; cultural values; cultural tools; indigenous American cultures; parenting: children, adolescents and adults; childbearing and happiness; effective parenting for growing thriving teenagers; communication: verbal, non-verbal, family and interpersonal communication, what lack of communication breeds, the importance of communicating well, the importance of listening and do’s and don’ts of communication

Effective coaching, specifically with regards to: definition and origins of coaching; applications of coaching: business and executive, career, co-coaching, dating, financial, health and wellness, ADHD, homework, education, life, relationships, sports coaching, and ethics and standards; our approach; principles of effective coaching: qualities of a good coach, necessary coaching skills, helpful communication skills to encourage progress and formulating the 3 part question

Ethics, specifically with regards to: definition of ethics; meta-ethics; normative ethics; virtue ethics, stoicism; contemporary virtue ethics; intuitive ethics; hedonism; cyrenaic hedonism; epicureanism; state consequentialism; consequentialism/teleology; utilitarianism; deontology; pragmatic ethics; discourse ethics; ethics of care; role ethics; anarchist ethics; postmodern ethics; particular fields of application: bioethics, business, machine, military, political, public sector, relational, animal, moral, evolutionary, descriptive ethics and Conquering Life Ninja Club coaching ethics

Gain an in-depth comprehension of all modules and the relevant research

Materials Needed

•  Computer

•  Head/earphones

•  Video-recording apparatus

•  Software-recording apparatus

•  Write a 2,000 word essay for each module 1-4 and 6-9 on your understanding of the topic (referencing is welcome but not obligatory)

•  Provide a 1,000 word review of your chosen book for each module, from the options provided in each modules 1-4 and 6-9, in your own words

•  For all modules except module 5, using what you are learning/have learned in the module, observe your immediate environment – friends, family, colleagues etc., to see whether you can recognise the concepts within this module, to further your grasp of the topic

•  For module 5, using what you are learning/have learned in the module, use your immediate environment – friends, family, colleagues etc., to execute the ‘Windows of Perception Processing Technique’, to further your grasp of the topic through practice. This can be achieved utilising other coaches in training, mentors, volunteers, friends, colleagues, family members etc.

•  Provide documentation of 25 hours of practice, utilisation and refinement of the execution of the Windows of Perception Processing Technique in module 5 as evidenced of face to face training. This should include a minimum of 10 hours of video evidence and the remaining (if any) as audio (A platform has also been created to enable matching between other coaches in training, volunteers and mentors, in order to facilitate this process)
